MEG JORGENSON
Meg Jorgenson is an abstract painter based in Los Angeles with a deep commitment to material experimentation and the poetic relationship between art and transcendence. Her rich, meditative works evoke the inherent beauty of nature through ancient traditions of painting using foraged materials such as clays, rocks and natural pigments derived from plants.
Attention is the rarest form of generosity
Inspired by Simone Weil’s description of attention as the rarest form of love, Jorgenson continues to see her art as a method of accessing and conveying inarticulable experiences of the human condition.
